APGA Ebonyi Blast Rochas 

The chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Ebonyi state chapter, Mr. Jerry Obasi on Thursday blast the governor of Imo state Chief Rochas Okorocha for leaving the party that gave him glory saying he will fail Imo people.

Obasi in a chat with journalists in Abakaliki noted Okorocha under All Progressive Alliance, APC, will not return Imo state 100 percent to APC in 2015.
Chief Obasi maitained that Okorocha under All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, was popular and accepted by all Imo people noting that his defection has  worsened his problems and will in turn make APGA popular in Imo state
According to him: “On the part of Governor Rochas Okorocha leaving APGA is a self distort mission. APGA gave him the highest political opportunity he has longed in his life which no party anywhere would give him. Rochas had contested forgovernorship in Imo statebut he failed in other political parties.
“He failed because he felt that he is popular and decided to join ANPP but at the end he failed also. APGA gave Okorocha the highest political opportunity. If I where Rochas I would have waited to finish the opportunity given to him by APGA before leaving to other political parties.
“I belt you Rochas will not return Imo state 100 percent to APC. It will be a mission impossibleand I know. The movement of Rochas into APC has worsened his problems and will in turn make APGA popular in Imo state. This movement has made Rochas as an inconsistent and unreliable politician.
The state party chairman in a related development said that APGA has made all preparations to win Anambra governorship election adding that among other political parties that are contesting in the election are not ongroundbut it is only APGA that has clear sponsors and supporters starting from the state government to local and wards levels.
He noted that APGA must win the election because it is APGA that holds the leadership of Anambra.
“It is very difficult for any political party to win APGA in Anambra state. For instance, Ngige share popularity in the state and I will not doubt that but APGA share popularity in all sector of the state. And we are mobilizing all our supporters for instance here in Ebonyi we have mandated all our party members who are in the state executives from state to ward level who are Anambrarians to go home and join hands with the members of the party in Anambra to win the next month election.
“We have told our supporters to promote APGA because it is the only true party that can unite Ndigbo and the country in general” he said.
Obasi however denied the allegation of being lobbied to become the APC chairman in Ebonyi state adding that he wished APC well “in fact some rumours are true and as well not true. Although I had a relationship with some members of APCbut not as to become their chairman here in Ebonyi, I am in APGA and I am not willing to leave APGA.
“APC is a political partybut here in the south- east I don’t think they are onground because APGA has south East as their major area of which Ebonyi is part of. If APGA continue to do what she is doing under Umehs’ leadership come 2015 we are going to wrestle power with PDP and take over the leadership of Ebonyi state” he added.
Chief Obasi called on some members of APGA who is believed to be causing faction in the party to refrain from such attitudes and join hands to promote peace and unity the party is known for adding that such would enable APGA to win subsequent elections in the south-east zone of the country.
“APGA led by Chief Victor Umeh has been reconciliatory in nature to ensure the unity of Ndigbo and the unity of the party. These people are causingproblem here and there because they want to reduce the image and dignity of APGA” he said.
